  • 20 MB per image
  • About 50 megapixels
  • Runs in the browser

Your file is processed in this browser and is not uploaded by this tool.

The quality slider applies to JPEG and WebP. PNG stays lossless. Metadata, including location data, is removed because the image is redrawn.

      How to use it

      Three steps

      1. 01

Drop JPEG, PNG or WebP files.

      2. 02

Set the quality and output format. PNG output stays lossless, so the quality slider applies to JPEG and WebP.

      3. 03

        Compress, compare sizes, and download.

      Questions

      Is this MozJPEG?

No. Encoding uses the browser's image encoder. Results differ from MozJPEG or a dedicated PNG optimizer.

      What happens to location metadata?

Drawing the image to a canvas and saving it again drops EXIF and other metadata. That includes GPS data.
